Program Criteria
1. Age/Status Requirement
To be selected as a participant in the Vanguard Leadership Academy, you must meet the following criteria:

Must be a Rising 10th, 11th, or 12th Grader OR

Undergraduate Student OR
-
Have newly entered the workforce, including individuals who are 1-3 years removed from high school graduation.

2. Academics

Must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average or higher.

3. Other Criteria

Must successfully complete the designated application process.

Should demonstrate a genuine desire to volunteer, whether for academic credits or a passion for supporting non-profit organizations.

Must exhibit a keen interest in leading peer-to-peer support initiatives.

Should possess a strong desire to make an immediate impact while learning and practicing empathetic and servant leadership skills.

The VLA Ambassador Program values candidates who not only meet academic and enrollment criteria but also display a genuine passion for volunteering, leadership, and a commitment to serving others through empathetic and servant leadership practices. These characteristics are integral to the ambassador role, aiming to make a meaningful impact within communities and beyond.
